Distant Shores   Anchorages  Friends  New Leaves   Scriptorium  Future Horizons  Suggestion Box

As far as my memory can go back in time, the fine blending of nature, culture and friendship always appeared to me as an achievement of utmost value. Experiencing it on the sea is a profound and sometimes austere reminder of our human scale in the larger universe. Homer's Epics and Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass were inspirational and the ultimate catalysts in the launching of our Sailing Society. Special thanks to Timothy Quartly-Watson and to Rulik Perla who have been so supportive over the last twenty years. I cannot imagine what our Sailing Society would have been without their contributions. A sweet thank you to Susanne, my wife, for her gentle encouragement when the dark clouds of doubt would mount on the horizon. A last word to you, comrad sailor, known and unknown, who has been or will be sailing with us on the oceans of the world. This site is for you.
